Problem Gateway "hanging"
Problem Gateway "hanging"
Hello.
Time to time the gateway hang.
We restart two Onepacs Service (onepacs gateway) and we can continue working.
Any suggestion what do I have to check?
Thanks

Re: Problem Gateway "hanging"
Hilario,
Could you elaborate on what you mean by "hanging"? Also, if you could send logs or any other useful information we would be happy to take a look.
Thanks,
Justin

Re: Problem Gateway "hanging"
Hilario,
Just to check, are they on the most recent version of the gateway?
Typically these things run forever and never need a restart or reboot. Do you have anything else running on the gateway computer? If so, we definitely advise strongly to make the computer do nothing but run the transmission software. We can't troubleshoot conflicts.
Also clarify what you mean by hanging as Justin noted.
Thanks
Tom

Re: Problem Gateway "hanging"
The gateway is alone (except windows and teamviewer, antivirus and not more)
Hanging means, it start responding to the facility which is sending the studies to the gateway.
In general we only need to restart the onepacs service on the gateway and the facility is able to reload.
The version is not newer: OnePacs Gateway 1.9.15
What logs do you need?
The name of the gateway is GWUSPSJ
At this moment there are studies in queue but they are not uploading on OnePacsWeb
There is an urgent study that I am uploading via the ONEPACSWEB function with the facility code of GWUSPSJ
Can You tell me what do you need to progress?
Regards

Re: Problem Gateway "hanging"
The log file is in C:\onepacs\gateway\server\default\log\server.log
Can you verify you have enough disk space?
Thanks,
Justin

Re: Problem Gateway "hanging"
Well there is not a big quantity but there are 7.5 GB free.
I can delete images directories from previous weeks.
Is this the correct way to clean?
Do I send you the logs on the forum or via the message system?
Regards

Re: Problem Gateway "hanging"
Send via OnePacs secure message system to "admin".
Not via forums, there's protected health info in there.

Re: Problem Gateway "hanging"
Hilario,
If you have less than 8GB of free disk space (NOT including OnePacs imaging data) then you may run into problems with the gateway attempting to delete studies before they can be sent to OnePacs. You may need to clear up some space on the server or change the config setting. I recommending freeing up space elsewhere as systems tend to perform poorly with low disk space. Please note that our technical requirements recommend at least 100GB free disk space.
http://wiki.onepacsforums.com/doku.php? ... quirements
To change the retention rules:
1) Log into JMX console
2) Select FileSystemMgt
3) Modify property "DeleterThresholds" to something like "0:4.0GB;23:4.0GB" (to only flush studies when less than 4GB free disk space).
4) Apply
Also please note that if the studies have been deleted because of lack of disk space you will need to resend them.
Thanks,
Justin

Re: Problem Gateway "hanging"
I did the changes in the Gateway parameters.
I sent the log file via admin mail.
Today the service stoped again.
What we have done is just restart onepacs gateway service.
We keep onepacs workstation stopped to see if this is related.
