Gateway and firewalls

Post by hilario » Tue Jun 09, 2009 4:48 pm

Hello, I am trying to install a gateway after a Microsoft ISA Proxy but we are not able to put it working.
Gateway is correctly configured because if we install it without the ISA Proxy (modifying the IP addresses and so on) we are able to operate.
I need to understand deeply how gateway comunicate with OnePacsCentral in order to configure ports, and so on the ISA software.
By the way, it seam ISA proxy doesn't work/support ICMP frames (we are not able to put ping to work)
Can you help on this?
Regards

Hilario,

What exactly do you mean when you say it's not working? Are you able unable to store to the Gateway? Or are you able to store to the gateway but the studies are not being forwarded to the central server?

The OnePacs Gateway communicates with the central server over port 443. By default, the Gateway will bind all IP available addresses. However, if you change the IP address of the gateway you should restart the gateway service.

Unfortunately, I don't have a lot of specific knowledge about working with an ISA proxy.

Regards,

Justin

The behaviour Desktop - Gateway work without problems.
The issues were on the Gateway - OnePacsCentral.
Even the AE ping (from the web interface) doesn't work? Does this ping work also on port 443 as destination?
Anyway the problem could be the IP change. Because we changed the IP address (from DHCP to static) without restarting the Gateway Service.
Thanks

Hilario,

Yes, all communication from the Gateway to OnePacs central server is done via DICOM on port 443 via TCP/IP, including the echo.

The IP address change would only effect the inbound DICOM to the Gateway, not Gateway -> OnePacs. It seems that your outbound access is being restricted somehow.
