Problem with OnePacs Workstation

Post by jacintor » Thu Apr 18, 2013 3:51 pm

Hello,

One of our radiologists has been having problems with the OnePacs Workstation at least once every two weeks. The study retriever downloads studies correctly but fails to find the Workstation as a destination. Everytime I have to download both study retriever and workstation and reinstall it on his computer. Any idea why this has been going on?

Also, another radiologist (mac user) has been having problems viewing studies on Osirix. He downloads the CT scans correctly but when he opens the studies on Osirix images are blank. He has a Mac 10.5.8 and Osirix 3.5. Is this a problem with decompression?

Thanks,

Rodrigo

Hi Rodrigo,

Your first problem sounds like it could be an anti-virus issue. We recommend excluding the C:\onepacs directory from your anti-virus scans.

Regarding your issue with Osirix, could you direct me towards a specific study that is not displaying correctly? Please OnePacs message the admin user the information.

Thanks,

Justin

As Justin mentioned the first issue you mention could be anti-virus related. It's possible your anti-virus software is quarantining some portion of the software, causing it to stop working, and need to be reinstalled. It sounds suspicious for this because you mention it works for a while, then stops and requries reinstallation. Can you check the logs of your anti-virus software and exclude the directory Justin mentions above?

With regards to the Mac case, as Justin said, please message admin on the onepacs system with the specific case in question and we'll look at it. Sounds like it could be a decompression issue as you mention.

Also, the next time this happens (workstation stops working for that radiologist), rather than reinstall the workstation for them, you can also post a note to this ticket and we can make arrangements to log on to the machine and see what is happening.

Hello Justin/John,

Thank you for the quick reply. I had two reinstall the workstation on another radiologist that was having the same problem. I will check the anti-virus.

On the Mac issue, how do I OnePacs message you the info? Via the (Help -> bug report) link on the website?

Thanks,

Rodrigo

Rodrigo,

You mention that the radiologist is using Osirix 3.5. It is possible this is compression-related, there were some cases where Osirix did not decompress some of our images correctly in prior versions, we communicated with them about it and they fixed it in recent versions. I just downloaded the case you mention in the message and I am able to view it fine in Osirix 4.1.2. Can you ask the rad in question to update to the latest version of Osirix and try again?

Thanks

John
