I see that I can do Hounsfield Units by pixel but wanted to know if there is a way to HU for an area...ie draw an ellipse and get the average HU.

Hi,
Which viewer are you referring to? For the OnePacs Workstation, you can use the Elliptical ROI tool. See attached.

We are using the Java viewer. Any way to do it on there?

Hi -
Select "measure ellipt area" as either your left or right mouse tool to create your area. The HU density measurements are on the bottom panel in the Java viewer under the min, mean, and max measurements for the selected annotation. Only the area shows as an annotation of the area in the Java viewer.
