Shortcuts, MIP

Post by drglider » Sat Oct 05, 2013 6:24 am

1. Is there a keyboard shortcut to turn synchronize slices on.
2. If there are more series than windows on the hanging protocol, is there a shortcut to force the next set to load. Ie, there are 14 series, but the viewer is displaying only 8 (4 x 2). Is there a single keystroke that could automatically page the next six onto the viewer? In a similar vein, is it possible to have the active windows highlighted in some way in the navigator bar so we can see which series are NOT loaded.
3. By any chance, are you working on a MIP function for the workstation.

thanks

1. Not currently, however, the next version (5.2) that is coming out soon will have both a keyboard shortcut for this and also an option to just have it on by default as some users have requested that.

2. Regarding loading the next "set", page up and page down will do this. When you say the "Navigator bar", do you mean the thumbnails? The loaded series are not currently highlighted in the thumbnails, but it sounds like it would be useful and we'll see if we can get that also into release 5.2.

3. Not at the present moment. We'd like to implement it sometime, but not a current priority.

If you want next/previous series for one particular time, then it's the N and E keys.

However, it sounds like you're saying you'd like all the series tiles to be changed with a new set of sequential series, I see what you mean now. Not currently available, but that would be easy enough to implement, I will look at getting that added for 5.2.

There's a list of keyboard shortcuts also in the help menu.

Yes, thats what I meant.
that was a feature in my prior pacs (GE integrad).
That pacs also highlighted the thumbails currently displayed (with a colored outline frame, instead of white).
In addition they had a feature in the corner of each thumbnail indicating whether or not all images had been viewed. When the case first opened, a little red circle appeared in the top corner of each thumbnail. After all images were scrolled thru, it turned green. That was helpful for those exams that might have 10+ series, making it "impossible" to overlook a series. (It actually turned yellow, when half the images were viewed).

We'll try to get some features into the next release to provide the additional functionality you'd like as noted above.

Also you can use other viewers with the onepacs system if you prefer, if they have features that you like. You can configure the system to send studies to any local viewer you like, Osirix for OS X, eFilm, Onis, ClearCanvas Workstation, whatever viewer you might have installed and like using you can also use those viewers if you like. Generally we think OnePacs workstation is best because of integration features, but it's possible to use others.
