Hello,
Our Gateway server crashed this morning and was unable to bring back online. We have all of your images safely in a network drive and still accessible.
What to I need to do to install my gateway on a another server?
I am unable to find the Gateway installer anywhere, where do I find it?
Is there any other steps I need to get my Gateway back up and running?
Thank you,
Nate
Help - One Pacs Gateway Server Crashed
Re: Help - One Pacs Gateway Server Crashed
Hi Nate,
Sorry to hear about your gateway server failing. Firstly, I'd recommend that you consider using OnePacs to archive. It simplifies things dramatically when the gateway is used for only transient storage and your archive is in the cloud. At our OnePacs data center we have redundancy built in at every level to prevent any sort of data loss like you've experienced.
The OnePacs Gateway installer can be found under Options -> Downloads.
Do you have a backup of the operating system, filesystem or database? If you have a recent backup image you could restore to that point and just re-send the most recent studies. If not, you would essentially have to re-send all of the DICOM images from your network drive to the new Gateway instance. That would basically be the equivalent of a data migration which is a bit outside the scope of the user forums. If you do re-send all of the data, keep in mind that the Gateway will attempt to forward it all to the OnePacs server again. This may affect your ability to upload new cases if you exceed the bandwidth limits applied to free accounts so you may want to disable forwarding at the gateway until you migrate all of your data back into your new gateway instance.
Regards,
Justin

Justin,
I have the image files, but I do not have the database. Is there a quick way to send images from a folder to the Gateway?

Justin,
I have the Send program that you guys sent us some time back. If I just change the CD Drive path to the directory that I want to send up, that should work, correct?

I don't recall what you were given in the past but you basically need a tool to scan your filesystem, parse the DICOM files, and perform a DICOM C-STORE to the Gateway. Like I said above, it's basically the same as a filesystem data migration. There are a lot of tools available to do such things (dcm4che, offis, DVTK, etc).
