Post by jceccoli » Wed May 16, 2012 11:30 am

Hello,
In order to upload studies can the image data be configured as either Big or Littel Endian?

Is there a specific transfer syntax you're inquiring about? Can I assume you're referring to storing DICOM images with Explicit VR Big Endian transfer syntax? To store to OnePacs via the Gateway you will need to send uncompressed pixel data using a little endian or RLE transfer syntax. We don't support big endian out of the box. However, if you use the online Java study uploader, it should re-encode and compress the images JPEG lossless before uploading and thus would store correctly. I hope that answers your question.

Best,

Justin
