Microsoft has ended support for Windows XP effective April 8th, 2014. For technical and security reasons, OnePacs no longer recommends Windows XP for the OnePacs Workstation, OnePacs Study Retriever, OnePacs Gateway, or OnePacs Web Application. Presently OnePacs provides an unsupported legacy version of the OnePacs Workstation (version 5.1.4) that remains compatible with Windows XP. Support for this version, and the Microsoft Windows XP operating system in general, will end on June 30th, 2014. Additionally, IE6 will no longer be a supported browser at that time. New installations of the OnePacs Gateway will only accept newer versions of Microsoft Windows however existing installations will continue to function (keeping an up to date anti-virus is critical).
In summary, the following applications will no longer be supported on Windows XP beginning June 30th, 2014:
- OnePacs Workstation (supports Windows Vista and up)
- OnePacs Study Retriever (supports Windows Vista and up)
- OnePacs Gateway (new installations not supported on Windows XP)
- OnePacs Web Application (Internet Explorer 6 no longer supported)
We recommend that any OnePacs users currently using Windows XP upgrade to Windows 8.1 prior to June 30th.
