Hi Andy -
The following link
wiki.onepacsforums.com/doku.php?id=incomingdocs
gives documentation on how scanned documents can be associated with a study.
Attaching files to cases
1. Users with the "Access or upload study files" permission can view or upload files for a study. There is a folder looking icon on the worklist toolbar that when click will open a new window where files can be uploaded or accessed. The icon will be grey when no files are attached to a study and yellow in color when a study file exists.
2. If you right click on a PDF or JPEG you may convert the document to new DICOM series of the study. This may be useful to allow a radiologist to view the document in a workstation.
Retrieval of files from an IMAP email account, or by fax
1. It is also possible to have the OnePacs system poll an email account for files which one wishes to make accessible to the worklist. This is useful, for example, when using a fax server (or commercial service, such as eFax) that converts incoming faxes into email messages with PDF file attachments.
2. You can select if the incoming PDFs should be attached as a study files (mentioned above) or converted to DICOM when the incoming document is dragged and dropped on a study to associate that document with a study.
Regards,
Jeremy
