Split Studies for 2 or more Radiologists

Post by paulokuriki » Mon Oct 21, 2013 1:14 pm

Hello
Is there a way to split an exam to allow 2 radiologists to perform different reports for different body parts.
E.g. One patient with CT from Abdomen, Thorax, Spine and Brain acquired together but one radiologist will report the abdomen and thorax and another will read the spine and brain.
Thank you
Paulo

Hi Paulo -

The option to split a study that is in the cloud is coming in a future release. At this time however there are several options.

1. Investigate creating multiple studies at the modality or PACS (one study for each body part). Each study could then be sent into OnePacs and assigned and reported on by separate radiologists.
2. Have one radiologist complete a report. Mark the case back to ready to read and reassign the case to the other radiologist. Have that radiologist complete their report as an addendum. Repeat as needed.
3. Separate the study into multiple studies on the OnePacs Gateway and manually forward the study.
a) Send the study into Gateway. Wait for it to finish forwarding into the cloud. Delete the cloud copy.
b) Find the patient on the gateway. Click on the plus icon on the right side of the row to add a new study. Add a new study for each body part.
c) Select the series and the new study using the right side checkboxes. Click the "Move selected entities" button on the top right of the page. This will move the series into the new study. Repeat as needed
d) Select the studies using the right side checkboxes. Select the "OnePacs Central Server" option from the list of available destinations on the upper right part of the screen. Click the "Send selected entities to specified Destinations" button to manually forward the studies back to the cloud.

Ok Jeremy
Thanks for your explanation.
We will be asking the facilities to create multiple studies for each body part.
Thanks
Paulo
