Sending studies from Osirix to Gateway computer

Post by jacintor » Mon Nov 26, 2012 3:41 pm

Hello,

My client's PACS system is installed on a Mac computer. They would like to use Osirix to select the studies they want to send to the Gateway PC. We have added the gateway PC's information (IP and port) as a Location (Preferences->Locations) in Osirix but we have not been able to transfer the files to the gateway. The following error message appears:

DICOM StoreSCU operation failed.

DICOM Network Failure (storescu)
Association Request Failed 0006:031b Failed to establish association
0006:0317 Peer aborted Association (or never connected)
0006:031c TCP Initialization Error: Connection refused

How can I fix this?

Thanks,

Rodrigo

Are they on the same local network? Can you ping the Gateway IP address? What information (port/ae title) did you put into Osirix?

Yes, they are on the same local network. We have been able to ping normally. We have used port 4104 and our customized AE Title (not GATEWAY) we have used to configure the facility.

Apparently it was one of those things that only happens with Windows. After rebooting the PC for a third time, study transmission started working normally.

Ok good to know, thanks. There is a bit of voodoo with windows sometimes.
