Hello,
I tried installing the gateway software package on my Windows XP PC but I get the following message: "There is a problem with this Windows Installer package. A program required for this install to complete could not be run. Contact your support personnel or package vendor."
I have updated my Windows XP and tried rebooting the system but the installation is still not working. Any idea on how to solve this issue?
Thanks,
Rodrigo

Can I confirm you are running the installer from an administrator account? Also can you tell me the version # of the installer and what service pack you have installed for XP? Thanks.

Yes. I am running it from an administrator account. Service Pack 3 installed on Windows and OnePacs Gateway 1.9.15 (directly downloaded from the website). Thanks

I'll have someone contact you to try to remote into the computer and take a look.

Hello -
There appears to be an issue with Java on the machine.
If Java is installed you may run the following commands from a command prompt to verify where Java is installed and that it can be executed.
Code: Select all
echo %JAVA_HOME%
%JAVA_HOME%/bin/java.exe -version
If Java appears to be installed (from Windows Add Remove Programs Applet), but the above commands do not work or do not report an existing JAVA_HOME variable, You may try to uninstall Java from the machine and then rerun the Gateway installation. The Gateway installation will reinstall Java (JDK version 1.6).
Regards,
Jeremy
