Dragon SDK Client

Post by jsrmurph » Wed Jul 18, 2012 10:32 am

I have Dragon SDK Client edition installed for a different program which works extremely well. Can OnePacs integrate with the SDK Client edition of Dragon? If not, is there a way to have both the SDK client edition and the stand alone edition installed simultaneously on the same PC?

I have never tried doing so but according to the following article it's possible.

http://www.recorders.com/ArticleDetails.aspx?Id=61
Dragon Medical SDK Client Edition 10 can be installed on the same machine where Dragon Medical 10 is installed. In addition, Dragon Medical 10 and Dragon Medical sDK Client Edition 10 can share vocabularies and users. Only one product can run at a time.

Thanks for your quick response! Since they both cannot run at the same time, which I would need them to do, is there a way to integrate Dragon SDK into OnePacs?

The report entry functionality of OnePacs works through a web browser. We recommend firefox but many users also use IE or chrome. So the question "is there a way to integrade the dragon SDK into OP" for reporting purposes is really equivalent to "Can dragon SDK work with a web browser?" I have been looking into this and havent found a specific answer. You might want to try pinging nuance directly on this as it seems quite likely that there is some solution out there to allow the dragon SDK to input text into a web browser. We haven't specifically offered this solution before but it seems like it would be a pretty common question that users of the dragon SDK might have, so nuance may have an answer to that.
