I am currently using the trial / free version. I have set up the folders to check an email account for attachements and import them into a folder. All the settings seem correct. The problem is, it only imports single page PDF files and ignores the bulk of the emails. The emails are all just messages with a pdf attached, and are created using metrofax. Does anyone know what onepacs looks for in the emails? Again, it seems to import most single page pdf attachments (but not all). I have tried all the obvious solutions (date of studies / date range is correct, unchecked the "unread only" box, etc.

Tom,
It sounds like you are using the "incoming documents" feature. This feature is specifically designed to import PDF files. They may be single or multi-page. I believe one file per email is currently imported. This should be working for you on the free version.
Most fax to email services, for example, can email a single PDF file containing the fax, when a fax arrives, so this feature can be used to receive faxes or import documents through fax, etc.
Please confirm whether the feature works for you as described above - if you email file types other than PDF, it's not currently designed to import them.
You can also attach any file type you want to attach by using the attach documents feature, through the web interface, but as far as email is concerned, it just imports PDF files.

Hi,
Please note that only unread messages are processed by OnePacs. This is to avoid repeatedly processing the same messages indefinitely. If you intend to use the incoming documents feature I recommend creating a dedicated email account for this purpose.
Multiple attachments per emails should be fine - as longs as they are pdf.
If there was an error processing a message, it would have been coppied into a folder or tag (depending on what email service you're using) called OnePacs/error. Could you check if there are any messages in this folder?

I understand how the folders work etc. All tested files are unread. The email is a dedicated email I used to receive faxed requisitions from several clients. All attachments are PDF and there is just one attachment per file. The problem seems to be that if the PDF is more than one page, it will not go into the folder (ie,a single pdf, but 5 pages long). The only other possibility would be that some of the emails also contain the logo from metrofax and clickfax as a graphic, along with the pdf attachment. That may be confusing OnePacs and blocking the PDF from being imported.
Normally I use a program called "automaic print email" that checks the email account for files, then prints the attachment automatically to my printer. This has worked fine with clickfax and metrofax. I turned that off and then tried to use OnePacs to import files. OnePacs seems to only import some of the unread files. Its either a problem with multipage PDF's or with the structure of the email itself I think. Can I send a copy of the email so someone can check?

The problem isn't multipage PDFs, those work fine. Also I have seen the system used with fax to email services that include other graphic attachments such as a .gif of the first page, that works fine.
It would be a good idea to forward us the email for analysis so we can see what's going on.
Alternatively we can also go into your account on onepacs and look at how the incoming documents are configured, if we have permission to do that, it would probably be the quickest way to check things out.

I will send the email for analysis. I have narrowed it down to metrofax. If I use clickfax or email directly, it works. Metrofax and it does not. I think its the image attachment with their logo that accompanies the email but not absolutely sure.

It looks like the problem is that the extension of the file is all uppercase (PDF). We've made an adjustment to OnePacs to handle this case. If you retry it should work.
