When I try to open a case using the Java viewer, nothing loads. The Remote Eye opens but no case loads. I tried to do a "find" and nothing seems to happen. Is there a setting on this new java viewer that I need to change to open the case?

Java viewer not opening case
Re: Java viewer not opening case
Hi Steve,
You may need to close and restart your browser it it had to modify any settings. Can you try quitting your browser and the Java viewer and restarting? Also, you need to remain logged into OnePacs for the Java viewer to work.
All cases need to be loaded into the Java viewer from the worklist. It is not currently possible to query cases from the Java viewer.
Also, please let me know if there were any error messages.
Thanks,
Justin

Also, it would be helpful to know which Browser and OS you are using.

Re: Java viewer not opening case
Hi Steve,
I just wanted to post a followup here to document our phone call. It appeared that the problems you were experiencing were likely caused by your local network security restrictions. Your home PC should work fine. Please let us know if you have any issues.
In regard to you question about where the images are stored locally in the Java viewer this is what I have found. By default, the images are stored in a temp directory. On my Windows 7 system it was in C:\Users\<USER>\AppData\Local\Temp. However, this will vary with OS. The temp directory is cleaned out periodically (as needed) and when the app is launched. Additionally, you can change the location of the download directory in "Settings -> Local Storage Preferences" in the Java viewer.
Thanks,
Justin

Justin/Tom
Thanks for calling and trying to help. The Java Viewer worked just fine at home. So yes, I believe it is a security setting by the IT department at the hospital that is limiting the viewer. If they help and fix this, I will let you know what they did.
