Download Manager

Post by f1rad » Mon Dec 30, 2013 11:55 am

Are there any reported issues with the current version 5.2.0.13 on Mavericks? Since the update, I have noticed a rash of incomplete study downloads and freezing of the download manager. The problem seems to be exacerbated but high volume downloads, i.e., multiple cases trying to come over at once. I was interested to see if I could download the prior version and do a direct comparison.

I am not sure about downloading the previous version, but I am investigating the issues you describe right now.

If it helps, I watched the activity monitor and at certain points the study retriever was in excess of 125% of CPU usage. It seemed that is when SR would freeze/lock requiring a force quit. Thank you for your help.

Just noticed that the version that I am using is 5.2.0.13 yet when I went to OnePacs "options" to look at the available downloads, a new version 5.2.1.0 seems to be available. Never had a notification of new version available for download.

It doesnt necessarily prompt to update for every newer version, for relatively minor changes we don't prompt for the update as the process of updating may be more hassle than it's worth for many people.

Still same issues today running updated SR. Incomplete downloads requiring a manual re-download. First 5 cases were incomplete. Was able to manually re-download all images.

Looking at the SR logs, it appears that SR may have actually downloaded all images/series but I did not see a corresponding DICOM store message for each image. So possibly download is successful but not all images are stored on Osirix. I've increased the time-outs for Osirix and so far the next 30+ cases have not been incomplete.
