PostgreSQL Conflict

Post by jacintor » Tue Aug 06, 2013 8:37 am

Hello OnePacs team!

We are trying to install the gateway on one of our customers but they already have a program called IATT that uses PostgreSQL 8.4 in the PC. Everytime we try installing the Gateway, the PC does not let us install it because IATT is already using PostgreSQL. Is there a way to install the Gateway without conflicting with the other software?

Thanks!

Rodrigo

Hi Rodrigo,

We recommend installing the OnePacs Gateway on a dedicated computer to avoid conflicts with other software and contention for system resources.

OnePacs Gateway 1.9.15 attempts to install PostgreSQL 8.3 if it is not already installed. My guess is that both Postgres instances are fighting for port 5432.

Thanks,

Justin
