I am having issues with extremly lenghty upload times when uploaded zip files of images to the work list. The upload time used to only be a few minutes, however over the last few weeks to a month, it has began to take 30, 45 or sometime an hour to upload the images. Even worse sometimes after waiting all that time the images fail to send and I have to start over. Obviously this is becomeing an issue with images from one procedure taking this long, some images are not being sent until the day after the exam. I have used the same steps I have always used, my only thought is that it is a bandwidth issue but that wouldnt explain the all of a sudden change. Any input is greatly appreciated.

Re: Problem with Image upload to worklist
If there are bandwidth issues, it would be related to your local facility as we aren't having any bandwidth issues. We have very wide open incoming pipes, can accept the studies as fast as you can upload them.
The time it takes to upload will be directly a function of how large the files are you need to upload and your outgoing bandwidth.
However, the direct upload of studies through the worklist is not really recommended as a high-volume means of study uploads. If you have a lot of studies to send to onepacs, you should use the gateway. This has a lot of advantages over the worklist upload feature. The compression is better, so studies will upload faster, and it's all done asynchronously and will automatically re-try if there is a network error until it succeeds, so you won't run into issues of a failure interrupting the study. Do you have a gateway configured? The worklist upload feature is designed for people who may just occasionally need to upload something from perhaps somewhere other than their usual location, etc... it's not supposed to be the primary means of sending studies to onepacs.

please refer to the following diagram and installation guide... the gateway is definitely the correct primary means of sending studies to OnePacs.
