upload from the workstation

Post by ajsmalls » Sat Jan 26, 2013 10:00 am

I tried to upload studies from the OnePacs Workstation however, the studies are not populating the worklist. I tried to go through the gateway and although the studies load into the gateway when it comes to sending from the gateway to the workstation there is a failure to send. The gateway pings successful so I was wondering if anyone had advice on this problem. I went into the poller and opened the option for loading from the workstation, no luck there either. I know there is a setting that is off but I just don;t know where to look. Thanks for the help.

HI, let me clarify what you are saying. You are trying to send studies from where, to where? I wonder if there could be a typo in your description above. I'm not sure what you mean by "went into the poller and opened the option for loading from the workstation". There is no option like that... Do you mean the option for downloading directly from the gateway? Also are you trying to upload from the workstation, or download to the workstation? Please clarify where you are trying to send studies from and where to. Thanks.

I apologize for the confusion, there is an option to upload from the worklist. I was at one point able to do this however now I can't. I would rather upload with this option since it is easier. I tried to upload my studies from the workstation however the studies do not show up in my worklist. Does that clarify my situation?

When you say to upload from the worklist, do you mean to upload studies directly from a computer to OnePacs using this option:

http://wiki.onepacsforums.com/doku.php? ... _interface

If so, can you describe in what manner this process is now failing?

When you say "upload studies from my workstation", do you mean you are pushing DICOM studies from your workstation to a gateway computer, and you want the gateway to subsequently forward the studies on to the OnePacs system, like this:?

Workstation ----> Gateway ----> OnePacs

If you are doing the above and the studies make it on to the gateway, can you test connectivity from the Gateway to the OnePacs servers as described on this web page and let us know the result?

I am referencing the first option. There is no error message the studies just do not show up in the worklist. I went to the gateway computer and tried to upload studies through the gateway however that isn't working and yes the process would be workstation>gateway>onepacs. I tested the connectivity on the ae management setion of the gateway admin. I see that the ae title that was sent to me tested fine but the OPW test failed with the following message: Echodicom://OPW@localhost:44104 failed: org.dcm4che.net.DcmServiceException: Association not accepted by dicom://OPW@localhost:44104: A-ASSOCIATE-RJ result=1 - rejected-permanent source=2 - service-provider (ACSE) reason=7.

I got the error message to go away, however, the studies still do not populate the worklist. I can see the studies in the "folder" of the gateway. I tried to do a manual send from this screen to the OnePacs gateway and to all of the other ones listed with no luck. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Hi Alphonzo,

When you say you are unable to upload from the worklist, can you be more specific? Are you uploading test images or clinical images? Is it possible you've stored these same images to another one of your facilities? If so, they would not show up under the new facility because they already belong to the other facility. If this is the case I recommend trying some fresh images. In general, if you have images on a disk (or other physical media) it's easier to just upload from the worklist.

Sending the same images could also explain why the same images didn't store via the Gateway either. Let me know if this is the case, if not we can dig deeper into the Gateway.

Regards,

Justin

No these are clinical images, this is a new AEtitle and Gateway so it wouldn't go to another facility. I tried some other clinical images but they all do the same thing. If I try the worklist upload option they do not show up on the worklist (I don't see them anywhere), if I upload at the workstation, they go to the gateway but do not make it to the worklist.

Thanks, Alphonzo

Alphonzo,

Could you PM me the name of the facility and approximate date/time of upload from the worklist?

Thanks,

Justin

Hi Alphonzo,

Just to recap our findings, the studies that you were sending to the new facility were already present in other facilities. A study can only belong to one facility. New studies will store to the new facility as expected.

Thanks,

Justin
